We’re looking for an experienced Payroll Officer to join a well-established Mining & Resources company in West Perth on a 12–14 month contract covering parental leave. This is a standalone role managing payroll for over 200 staff across both monthly and fortnightly cycles.

What you’ll be doing:

• End-to-end payroll processing for monthly and fortnightly pay runs (200+ employees)
• Managing all payroll-related compliance including PAYG, superannuation, and reporting obligations
• Maintaining accurate employee records and handling payroll queries
• Processing new starters, terminations, and variations to contracts
• Interpreting and applying awards, EBAs, and legislation to ensure compliance
• Preparing payroll reports for management and finance teams
• Reconciling payroll accounts and assisting with year-end processes

What we’re looking for:

• Solid experience managing end-to-end payroll in a standalone role
• Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation
• Mining & Resources Industry experience highly desirable
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently
