Your next career opportunity
As the Education Lead at the University of Melbourne Poche Centre for Indigenous Health, you'll spearhead the development of innovative professional development and education courses. You'll have the opportunity to establish an eLearning business model, collaborating with diverse stakeholders to create impactful programmes that advance Indigenous health and leadership. This role offers you the chance to make a significant contribution to the improvement of Indigenous health outcomes.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and Deliver Innovative Professional Development programs: Design and implement a comprehensive suite of eLearning and in-person learning materials, ensuring high educational standards and cultural appropriateness.
  • Lead Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Indigenous communities, health sectors, and educational partners to align programs with industry needs and priorities.
  • Establish a Sustainable Business Model: Lead the development of an income-generating course delivery model, ensuring financial sustainability and revenue growth.
  • Provide Strategic Leadership: Demonstrate institutional-level leadership in Indigenous health education, offering mentorship and influencing national standards in the field.

You may be a great fit if:
You are a dynamic, culturally competent professional with a doctoral qualification and extensive experience in Indigenous education, possessing the ability to develop innovative eLearning programs and lead strategic initiatives in Indigenous health leadership.

You may also:

  • Have a PhD or equivalent qualification in a relevant field with significant experience.
  • Possess deep knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and ways of knowing, particularly in relation to health.
  • Demonstrate high-level proficiency in designing and implementing tailored educational resources and eLearning modules.
  • Have experience in developing health discipline content for a range of healthcare professionals and academics.
  • Exhibit national scholarly standing and influence in Indigenous education.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders effectively.
  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of business approaches to educational course delivery.
