We’re LJM Tiny Homes – an award-winning, bespoke tiny house construction company with over 6 years of experience in the industry. We’re seeking a Carpenter who can bring a high level of craftsmanship and a keen eye for detail to our custom projects. This is not just another factory job, it’s a chance to apply your skills in a creative, hands-on environment.

Qualifications & experience

Qualified Carpentry (Cert 3 preferred) for custom carpentry building

A keen eye for detail and a passion for high-quality finishes

Ability to read plans, measure accurately, and work independently

Versatility – we’re a small team, so being flexible and willing to jump in where needed is a must

A strong work ethic and a positive, team-oriented attitude with proven self-management skills

Experience in tiny homes, RVs, boats, or custom builds (a bonus, but not required)

Queensland Driving Licence

Tasks & responsibilities

Under the guidance of the Operations Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting the team to meet the required timeline for each tiny home on wheels.

Every home we build is unique, so we require a high level of attention to detail, as you work against plans drawn by our in-house design teams to bring each home to life.

Your day-to-day will involve:

Timber & steel framing construction

Interior linings & finishing carpentry

Coordinating with other trades to ensure smooth workflow across departments

Installing windows & doors, exterior cladding and flooring

Managing hardware and stock levels between builds

Performing quality checks, including final detailing, sealing, and defect identification

Supporting general maintenance needs and maintaining a clean, organised workspace

You may also be asked to assist other departments when required to help the team meet production targets and maintain our reputation as an award-winning tiny home builder.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who values precision, takes pride in their work, and enjoys contributing to a high-performing team.

You'll be based in our centrally located Sunshine Coast factory, working consistent hours with an early start and finish:
Monday–Thursday: 5:30am–3:00pm
Friday: Knock off at 9:30am — giving you a head start on the weekend!
