About the role

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Marine Yard Hand to join our team at the NT Marine Facility in Stuart Park, NT. This is a casual position that will involve a variety of hands-on tasks supporting the operations of our marine facility. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our day-to-day activities.

Salary Range $45 - $48 per hour: Casual

What you'll be doing

Assist with the loading, unloading and movement of vessels, equipment and materials within the marine yard

Perform general maintenance and cleaning duties around the yard and facilities

Operate forklifts, and other machinery as required

Support the coordination of vessel movements and deliveries

Adhere to all relevant safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment

Provide excellent customer service to clients and visitors

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a similar labouring or yard-based role, ideally within the marine industry

Minimum 1-2 years experience in boat handling, marine maintenance, or related field

Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently

Good practical skills and mechanical aptitude

Willingness to learn marine systems knowledge

Familiarity with the operation of forklifts, cranes and other machinery

Strong safety focus and commitment to workplace health and safety

Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, helpful attitude

A current driver's licence and the ability to obtain the necessary licences and certifications

Physically fit and able to lift up to 15kg
