Hobart Fitness Training are specialists in private personal training solutions for professional clients who are looking for support and accountability to integrate movement, strength, fitness, and health/wellness into their lives. We are looking for a confident and competent personal trainer to facilitate semi-private personal training sessions (up to 4 clients per session) across 2-4 early morning week days between the hours of 6.15am-8.30/9.00am (4-6 hours per week to start - hours and exact times to be negotiated).
As you will most often be required to operate in an autonomous capacity, we require a trainer who is extremely reliable, is a natural leader and who loves being an early bird.
We are open to a discussion regarding your availability and career needs/goals. After an initial settling in period, there is potential for additional hours extending into mid-mornings on selected days should you wish. The role is casual to start, with the opportunity for a permanent part time position for the right trainer. We offer a fun and flexible working environment with some of the best clients around.
The role would suit a trainer who is NOT currently training their own clients elsewhere and who is looking to pick up extra work in addition to a day job or study load, or to start out growing their own client base within a supportive environment.
Essential requirements
You will be:
· Cert 4 qualified (minimum) with demonstrated confidence, competence, and experience in strength training programming and facilitation for multiple clients
· Comfortable training both male and female clients
· Highly reliable and mature
· Have a genuine desire to help clients by learning and developing your craft
· Friendly and sociable with an optimistic nature
· Have a preference to work mornings and early starts
· Self-directed at work as well looking to contribute as part of a small team
· Comfortable with basic sales/marketing skills (or willing to learn)
· Australian citizen or permanent resident
Desirable requirements
It would be amazing if you also had:
· Additional qualifications in exercise prescription, strength and conditioning or working with special populations
· Experience in semi-private or group personal training sessions (preferred but not essential)
· Openness and capacity to picking up additional hours on an ad hoc basis to cover sick or holiday leave
