Construction Engineer – E&I

Contract: 12 months
Rate: $110 – $130 p/hr inc super
Location: Kwinana, Perth Metro
Hours: 50 hrs/week (Mon–Fri, 10 hr days, 7am prestart). Additional hours incl.
Start: ASAP

The Project

This is a major brownfields modifications project within Perth’s industrial belt, aimed at significantly expanding plant capacity and output. The existing facility has been in operation since the 1980s and will remain live throughout the works.

Project completion forecasted for end of 2026.

First major shutdown planned for early 2026.

Scope covers fabrication, construction, and commissioning across Civil, SMP, and E&I.

Debottlenecking and upgrade works to boost both liquids and solids production.

The Role

We’re seeking an experienced Construction Engineer – E&I to join the site team and represent the client across a large and complex brownfields program. This position will see you working closely with subcontractors, vendors, and client stakeholders to ensure works are delivered safely, to schedule, and to a high technical standard.

You’ll be involved in:

Overseeing on-site E&I construction delivery.

Reviewing design deliverables for constructability.

Managing and interfacing with subcontractors and vendors.

Supporting upgrades, modifications, and shutdown execution.

Acting as a key link between site and project teams.

It’s a varied role with strong visibility, suited to someone who thrives in brownfields environments and enjoys managing delivery on behalf of the client.

Key Experience

Onshore process plant construction (oil & gas or chemical processing).

Strong brownfields background (live plant, modification works).

Experience managing subcontractors and vendors.

Comfortable working directly with client stakeholders.

Solid grounding in E&I construction delivery.
