We are seeking an enthusiastic Tax & Business Services Accountant to join our rapidly growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tax and business services, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.

Duties & Responsibilities

Preparing financial reports and income tax returns for a wide variety of individuals, SMEs, trusts, larger family groups and Self-Managed Superannuation Funds

Preparing Business Activity Statements and Fringe Benefits Tax returns

Ability to research and provide practical written taxation advice

Provision of tax planning advice

Liaising with the ATO and State Revenue Office where required

Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients

Qualifications, Skills & Experience Required:

3 + years experience within Australian Public Practice

CPA/CA qualified or studying towards completion

Experience with Income Tax, compliance obligations, superannuation, GST, Division 7A, Capital Gains Tax and FBT

Solid understanding of tax legislation and reporting requirements

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a high level of attention to detail

Efficient time management skills, highly dependable and thrives as part of a team

Self-motivated with a desire to continue to develop both professionally and personally
