SSNDIS is seeking a passionate and committed Accountant to join our growing team in Liverpool NSW. The position offers an excellent opportunity to kickstart your career with a premium NDIS provider that has been delivering top-quality care to the community for many years.
You will play a key role in supporting the financial department with daily accounting and administrative tasks.
Daily tasks will include:
Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
Assist with accounts receivables by lodging claims to NDIS, issuing invoices, and following up with unpaid invoices
Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations
Assist with reviewing of timesheets, payroll records etc. as assigned
Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines
Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports as assigned
Assist senior accountant in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
Assist with other accounting projects
Set up and maintain Participants’ NDIS Service bookings on NDIS Portal
Set up Participants on CAREMASTER
Assist Participants with plan budgeting and allocation of NDIS funds
Liaise with Participants, their guardians or nominees, external service providers regarding invoices received for services delivered
Obtain confirmation and approval from participants for invoices to be paid on their behalf
Claim NDIS funds from Participant’s Plan for clearing the invoices
Assist with payment enquiries in a timely manner
Prepare monthly plan management reports accurately and in a timely manner
Assist with Participants Exit Form and release of NDIS funds when participants leave the company
Ensure accurate record keeping for all invoices processed and claims made
Ensure each transaction is accurately accounted for on both the NDIS Portal and CAREMASTER
Develop and implement continuous improvement initiatives
Actively contribute to the business in a positive manner
All other duties as directed
Essential Criteria:
Degree in Accounting/ Finance or Banking
Previous experience in similar role
Advanced organization and time management skills
Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail skills
Ability to work independently and as a team player
Great work ethic and positive attitude
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Intermediate computer skills
Ability to work in a proactive manner, organizing and managing own workload
Strong problem-solving skills
Preferred Criteria
Experience in payroll and Human resources plus admin work
Proven experience in similar role
Bilingual- ability to speak understand Arabic & Urdu preferred
PLEASE NOTE: Employer is willing to sponsor candidate who is currently in Australia on subclass 485. Only open to applicants already in Australia.
