  • Based in Martin Place, Sydney CBD, with flexible working arrangements available.

About the role:

Focusing on government coordination activities of major events, the Project Officer, Events role provides senior level project support ensuring seamless collaboration between government agencies and event organisers to deliver safe, successful, and high-quality events. You will coordinate cross-government meetings and provide secretariat support to foster an integrated approach to event delivery.

If you are successful in gaining a place in the Talent Pool, you will be eligible to be considered for immediate opportunities, and multiple job opportunities across NSW Government over the next 18 months.

  • You're experienced in contributing to the success of major events and operations centres, understanding the complexities involved in their execution.
  • You're experienced in project and issue management, particularly in environments that involve a whole-of-government approach.
  • You have a proven track record of managing high-priority projects, consistently delivering quality outcomes even when facing tight deadlines.
  • You're adaptable, thriving in high-volume work environments where competing priorities and unpredictable changes are the norm.
  • You understand the importance of clear communication and consultation, effectively engaging with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders with diverse needs and viewpoints.
  • You possess excellent administrative skills, with a keen eye for detail that ensures precision in your work.
  • You recognise the value of teamwork and collaboration.

Salary: Clerk Grade 7/8. Package includes base salary ($113,574 - $125,720) plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
