Key requirements:

· The Registered Nurse is expected to apply competent clinical knowledge and skills to achieve clinical outcomes

· Provide leadership in the delivery of nursing care which include the supervision of care provided by personal care staff

· Previous experience working as a registered nurse in an aged care environment

· Sound communication and documentation skills

· Spoken Italian language an advantage

· Time management skills to manage own workload to meet deadlines and to support other staff

· Leading with a friendly and positive attitude

· Excellent problem solving skills to balance supporting residents desire for independence and self determination to make their own choices against potential risks and duty of care

· Good understanding of the requirements to support residents living with dementia including those who display challenging behaviours

· Sound knowledge of the Aged Care Quality Standards and Continuous Improvement legislation and the Serios incident Report Scheme (SIRS).

· Current registration (practicing certificate) as Registered Nurse with AHPRA

· Current National Police certificate.
