This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned P&C business partner with deep sector knowledge and a strong track record of delivering people strategies aligned to service delivery, workforce capability, and sustainable growth in the disability or allied health sectors.

Lifestart was founded in 1996 by a group of eight families who believed kids with disability deserved better support. Today, we operate out of eight offices throughout NSW and support over 10,000 children and young people, their families and carers across Australia. It's a success we're proud of because it is a success built on lived experience and a genuine desire to change lives for the better.

About the Role
This role is offered as a 12-month parental leave contract.
As a P&C Business Partner, you'll be strategic, and commercially savvy, partnering with our Therapy Services and Business Support teams to support workforce planning, organisational design, leadership capability uplift; ultimately helping to embed a high-performing and inclusive culture aligned, with Lifestart's values.
You will also have the opportunity to work closely with leaders across the business to deliver people-focused project.
This role is hands-on — supporting initiatives across recruitment, performance management, employee relations, engagement, systems improvement, and compliance.
What You'll Bring:
You're a forward-thinking P&C practitioner who thrives in complex, purpose-led environments. You blend commercial acumen with people-first leadership and have the confidence to influence, challenge, and support senior stakeholders.
Tertiary qualifications in HR, Business, Psychology or a related field
At least 5 years' experience in a generalist HR role (NDIS/disability/community sector experience highly regarded)
Sound knowledge of Australian employment law, modern awards, and Fair Work
Experience navigating workforce issues in regulated sectors, ideally with an understanding of allied health models
High emotional intelligence, resilience, and strong alignment with Lifestart's values, with a genuine passion for inclusive, purpose-led work.
Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (3 doses) or hold an accepted medical exemption
