Join Queensland Treasury as a Manager (AO8) in the Cabinet Legislation Liaison Office (CLLO). This is your chance to lead a dedicated team, provide expert advice on Cabinet, Parliamentary, and Executive Council processes, and play a critical role in supporting the Treasurer, Under Treasurer, and senior management. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, contributing to the delivery of government priorities and ensuring the efficient coordination of executive government processes. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic and high-profile environment.
In this role, you will:
• Lead the preparation of Cabinet and Cabinet Committee materials for the Treasurer and Under Treasurer, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Deliver expert advice, training, and support on Cabinet, Parliamentary, and Executive Council procedures, ensuring departmental resources are up to date.
• Build and sustain strong partnerships with the Treasurer's Office, the CLLO network across government, and Treasury's Executive Leadership Team.
• Review and critically evaluate submissions, briefing notes, and legislative materials to ensure quality and compliance with government guidelines.
• Plan and prioritise workflows to ensure efficient coordination of Cabinet, Parliamentary, Executive Council, and legislative programs.
• Prepare correspondence and reports for the Treasurer on decision implementation, election commitments, and other key requirements.
What experience you will bring:
To excel in this role, you will demonstrate:
• Extensive knowledge of executive government procedures.
• Knowledge of Cabinet, Ministerial, Parliamentary, and Executive Council processes (or the ability to rapidly acquire this knowledge).
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills to build effective partnerships.
• A proactive approach to team engagement and duties.
There are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, however, relevant qualifications in business, economics, finance or law are highly regarded.
