The Family Day Care Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting educators to deliver quality education and care in line with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and Mini Miracles’ philosophy. This position ensures compliance with all regulations, provides professional guidance to educators, and fosters strong, respectful relationships with families and the community.

Key Responsibilities

Educator Support & Compliance

Conduct regular home visits to monitor environments for compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations.

Provide educators with feedback, coaching, and resources to continuously improve practice.

Ensure each educator maintains accurate documentation, records, and policies.

Monitor and support compliance with the Child Care Subsidy (CCS) system.

Quality & Practice

Guide educators in implementing the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and My Time, Our Place (MTOP).

Support educators in planning, documenting, and reflecting on children’s learning.

Assist with development and implementation of Quality Improvement Plans (QIP).

Family Engagement & Community

Promote positive partnerships between educators and families.

Address family enquiries and provide information about services and enrolments.

Advocate for children’s wellbeing and learning within the service and the broader community.

Administration & Reporting

Maintain accurate records of visits, compliance, and incidents.

Prepare reports for the Approved Provider as required.

Assist with recruitment, orientation, and ongoing training of educators.

Qualifications & Requirements

Diploma or higher in Early Childhood Education and Care (required).

Sound knowledge of the National Quality Framework, EYLF, MTOP, and regulatory requirements.

Current Blue Card (Working with Children Check).

Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certification.

Current driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle.

Excellent communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work autonomously and as part of a supportive team.
