About the role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Child Care Assistant Director to join our team at Kuraby, QLD. As the Assistant Director, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Centre Director in the day-to-day operations of our state-of-the-art childcare facility, ensuring the highest standards of care, education and customer service are delivered to our families.

What you'll be doing

Assisting the Centre Director in the overall management and leadership of the childcare centre

Supervising and supporting the childcare staff, providing guidance, training and mentorship

Ensuring compliance with all relevant childcare regulations, policies and procedures

Fostering positive relationships with families and the local community

Implementing and evaluating educational programs that promote the holistic development of children

Maintaining accurate records and documentation

Assisting with the recruitment, onboarding and performance management of childcare staff

Contributing to the continuous improvement of the centre's operations and services

What we're looking for

Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field

Minimum 1 year's experience as a qualified Childcare Educator or Assistant Director

Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework and relevant childcare regulations

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children, families and staff

Demonstrated leadership and team management experience

Commitment to providing high-quality care and education

Adaptability and problem-solving skills

First Aid and CPR certification

Permanent residency or Australian citizenship required

Current Working with Children Check must be held at time of application
