- implement changes that benefit children birth to 13 years-of-age and their families
- monitor and promote the consistent application of the Education and Care Services National Law across all states and territories
- support the early childhood education and care sector to improve quality outcomes for children

The Role
The Business Analyst is primarily responsible for performing National Quality Agenda IT System (NQA ITS) business analysis tasks and will need to provide solution recommendations based on a high-level understanding of existing software systems. The Business Analyst will contribute to the ongoing development and support of the NQA ITS and other ACECQA systems throughout the entire release cycle and will be required to foster and manage mutually beneficial relationships with external and internal stakeholders in state and territory regulatory authorities and the Australian Government.
This role is full time and fixed term (9 months) at ACECQA Band 5/6 ($103,179- $140,976).
About You
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Provenexperience in business analysis and design of large-scale applications with a complex organisational structure.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT or related discipline including relevant industry certifications, with demonstrated experience in a Business Analyst or Project Management role for a medium size public or private organisation.
- Extensive experience in business process mapping, process re-engineering, and requirements gathering, using relevant business process modelling and testing techniques, including the formal representation of use cases and workflows.
- Strong analytical and logical approach to problem solving, including interpreting and analysing data to produce meaningful information and business insights, and undertaking qualitative and quantitative research to identify trends to assist with determining business priorities.
- Attention to detail and demonstrated experience in preparing high quality project documentation including business and functional requirements, performance reports, project plans, process flows, and business cases.
- Demonstrated experience in developing specification requirements for CRM systems.
- Strong interpersonal, consultation, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to verbally communicate clearly and effectively with business stakeholders, external vendor partners, and internal teams.
- Excellent documentation skills, including proven experience in the authoring of specifications and manuals.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritise work to meet required timelines.
While not essential, the following attributes will greatly assist you in the role:
- Experience in CRM Dynamics implementation, configuration, system design and/or related business process experience.
- Experience working in, or with, a regulatory or government environment.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft CRM Dynamics 365.
- Experience organising user groups and in positively influencing participation and outcomes.
