About the Position
Bond University is seeking a dynamic and experienced Practice Manager/Nurse Lead to oversee the operational and clinical nursing leadership of our on-campus Medical & Health Service.
This newly created role will ensure the delivery of high-quality, compliant medical services to students and staff, in alignment with RACGP Standards and Australian healthcare regulations.
Key responsibilities include:
Achieving and maintaining RACGP accreditation compliance
Leading clinical governance, patient safety, and quality improvement initiatives
Managing day-to-day operations of the medical service including GPs, RN, and administration staff
Supervising and developing capabilities of nursing and administrative staff
Engaging with university stakeholders and external healthcare providers
The role reports to the Head of Service, Student Counselling, Health & Wellbeing and has two direct reports: the Registered Nurse and Senior Medical Receptionist.
About the Person
We are looking for a qualified and experienced healthcare professional who brings:
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
Minimum 5 years clinical nursing experience, with 3+ years in leadership/management
Proven experience in practice management as well as achieving and maintaining accreditation compliance
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
Knowledge of RACGP Standards, healthcare regulations, and digital health technologies
Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement
Experience in a higher education medical service setting is highly regarded.
Salary details
The salary for the position commences at $112,811.36 per annum, plus 12% superannuation.
Please note: The fixed term of this employment contract will be for up to two years, with twelve months' probation. The prospect of conversion to a continuing employment contract will be discussed at the end of the contract term.
