1. Ghostwriter – You must reside in WA. Fixed fee $25K to $30K

We are seeking an experienced Ghostwriter for a very special project with a wonderful ‘indigenous’ woman who wants her compelling story documented.

This is a confronting story with some tragic outcomes. You must be sensitive to the needs of others, respectful of other cultures and beliefs, and possess an innate gift to connect and develop a trusting relationship with someone, that will facilitate the sharing of their deepest feelings and memories.

You must have experience with writing non-fiction books of a minimum of 60,000 words and be able to provide at least two previous clients, as your referees.

First established in QLD in 2022, Your Life Your Words is a bespoke memoir writing service operating in Qld, NSW, ACT, Victoria and WA.

We are seeking applications from creative writers with at least 5 years of demonstrated experience in writing non-fiction, longer form, narrative work.

These are very personal, one-one-one assignments - so we just don’t want brilliant writers; we need special people who have an innate way of tapping into the essence of a person’s soul, their personal life, their story.

You will visit elderly clients in their homes and compose their life stories into a polished memoir. You must have highly developed listening skills and ability to draw out story content. If you think you’ve heard a bit of gold dust, we want you to encourage the client to share the gold nugget.

All our writers consider it an honour to write someone's memoir, and we hope you will too!

To become part of a wonderful pool of Executive Writers to service assignments within Western Australia you need to possess:

A very confident, warm and personable disposition

Excelling interviewing and probing skills

Excellent note taking experience

Experience using audio recorders

Advanced skills with WORD - presentations and formatting

Confidence with recording videos – this is not a service we regularly undertake

· Two examples of your non-fiction writing skills – no less than 800 words.

· Any other examples that you can provide that demonstrate your talent as a non-fiction writer.
