We are seeking an experienced Welder Fabricator / Trailer Mechanic to join our workshop team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out welding, fabrication, and mechanical repairs on trailers, trucks, and associated equipment.
This role is hands-on and requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

Trailer & Truck Repairs

Inspect, diagnose, and repair trailers, trucks, forklifts and associated equipment.

Carry out servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs to ensure roadworthiness.

Perform brake, suspension, axle, and body repairs on trailers.

Welding & Fabrication

MIG, TIG, and stick welding on steel and aluminium components.

Fabricate, modify, and repair trailer parts, bodies, and structural components.

Operate workshop equipment (plasma cutters, grinders, presses, etc.) safely and effectively.

Workshop Support

Assist with fault diagnosis and troubleshooting of structural/mechanical issues.

Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Complete job cards, repair records, and parts usage accurately.

Skills & Qualifications

Trade qualification in welding, fabrication, or mechanical fitting (desirable).

Proven experience in trailer repairs and heavy vehicle fabrication.

Strong welding and metal fabrication skills (MIG/TIG/Arc).

Knowledge of air brake systems, suspensions, and trailer components.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.

Current driver’s licence (HR/HC licence advantageous but not essential).
