Renmark Paringa Council is seeking a motivated and experienced Manager Financial Services to provide strategic financial leadership, ensure strong governance, and support the delivery of sustainable outcomes for our region.

About the Role

In this key leadership role, you will:

Lead Council’s Annual Business Plan, Budget, and Financial Statement processes.

Provide expert advice on long-term financial planning, rating strategies, and investment management.

Oversee internal controls, audits, and compliance with accounting standards.

Manage leases, licences, insurance renewals, and financial policies.

Mentor and support a skilled finance team to deliver accurate, timely, and transparent services.

Champion efficiency and continuous improvement across the organisation.

About You

We are looking for a collaborative and forward-thinking leader with:

Strong financial and accounting expertise (CPA/CA desirable).

Proven leadership experience in finance, ideally within local government or a complex organisation.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels.

A proactive approach to problem-solving, efficiency, and delivering results.
