Principal Engineer | AI Automation | 6-Month Contract | $1,000 Per Day | Brisbane Media Group

I'm working with a leading Queensland media organisation who's looking for a Principal Engineer - AI Automation to lead the development of their proprietary automation systems across creative and production environments.

This is a senior, hands-on role for someone who can design, code, and actually deliver automation at scale - not just talk about what's possible, but build it.

What you'll be doing:

• Leading the design and implementation of AI-driven automation pipelines
• Developing with JavaScript, ExtendScript, Python, and related frameworks
• Integrating and orchestrating systems through APIs, MPCs, n8n, Zapier, and other automation tools
• Delivering workflows that transform media and creative production efficiency
• Exploring and implementing emerging AI technologies

What I'm looking for:

• Deep technical capability with coding and automation platforms
• Proven track record of engineering complex API integrations
• Experience working in media, creative, or studio production environments
• Principal-level experience: able to set standards, mentor, and guide implementation
• Someone who's obsessive about AI and automation — relentless about staying ahead of the curve
