About the role:

Clarity Partners is working with a mining services provider who are a leading provider and well known in the Australian market.

They are seeking a Financial Accountant to support a high-performing finance team and assist in driving financial accuracy, efficiency, and growth. This role reports to the Finance Manager and plays a key part in maintaining robust accounting processes in a fast-paced, mining-service-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing month-end closing processes—including journal entries, account reconciliations, and ensuring accurate financial statement preparation
• Owning reconciliations such as capital work-in-progress (WIP), fixed assets, and inventory valuation models/deferred stripping costs
• Assisting with budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting—including preparation of management reports, KPIs, and analysis of trends to support decision-making
• Supporting audits, compliance activities, internal controls, and process improvements to strengthen governance and efficiency
• Collaborating with operational teams to gather relevant data and deliver insightful reporting to drive business performance

About You

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, with CA/CPA qualification or equivalent (or actively pursuing)
• At least 2 years of operational accounting experience, ideally within the mining, mining services, or construction sectors
• Fixed asset / Asset maintenance experience is essential
• Experience working with ERP systems (Oracle, Pronto, SAP, etc.) and advanced skills in Excel and financial modelling
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to communicate effectively across teams
• Flexibility to travel to operations or sites if required
