Yankalilla Community Children’s Centre invites you to join our team as a teacher for three-Year-Old Preschool, leading this initiative as we prepare to roll out preschool for three-year-old children in childcare from 2026.

About the Centre
Yankalilla Community Children’s Centre, an Integrated Rural Preschool and Child Care Centre, has been dedicated to supporting families and children within the Yankalilla region for years. Renowned for its commitment to community-centred, nature-rich learning opportunities, the centre offers a nurturing space where children thrive underpinned by natural exploration. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in enhancing an inspiring program, surrounded by a team passionate about nature-based, play-focused education.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As an Early Childhood Teacher, you will:
• Develop and deliver an exceptional and developmentally appropriate three-year-old preschool program adhering to the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework.
• Build authentic, respectful relationships with families and the wider community, actively participating in community engagement.
• Plan, document, and assess children’s learning journeys, ensuring alignment with best practices in early childhood education.
• Support children’s holistic development by incorporating Nature Play, Loose Parts Play, and a child-led ethos.
• Mentor and collaborate with educators, fostering a team committed to continuous improvement.
• Uphold all centre policies and Quality Improvement Plans, contributing to the highest standards of practice.
What We Are Looking For

What We Offer
• Pay rate range of $38.02 to $52.61 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
• Additional 2 hours of programming time per week, above the industry standard.
• Minimum of 2 days of paid professional development per year.
• Professional networking opportunities up to 4 times per year for 2–3 hours.
• Flexible working arrangements considered.
• Consideration given to those working toward achieving a Bachelor qualification.

Essential Requirements
• A recognised Early Childhood Teaching qualification (or working toward an equivalent qualification).
• Current Teacher’s Registration with the appropriate regulating body.
• A Working With Children Check (WWCC) and RRHAN-EC training (or equivalent).
