We are located in North Lakes and staff have available the flexibility to work from home and with flexible hours.

We are looking for the next great fit for our small friendly team. Due to client growth, we need an accountant or bookkeeper with 2 plus years’ experience preparing financials and BAS, income tax experience is a bonus. You must love working hands on with business accounting and tax returns and have a focus on systems, efficiency, and client care. Your experience with Xero will be highly regarded as most of our clients use this system. As we are a small practice of 6 staff you must be willing to pitch in on whatever need arises for your clients. The current team are all highly experienced and will be available to provide mentoring whenever needed. You will enjoy flexible working hours, cloud-based systems and an easy going yet professional culture.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU

Remuneration based on experience between $70-$90k package.

This is a full-time position, but we are also open to part-time from 30 hours per week if that is something you would prefer to provide you with work/life balance.

Work from home for some hours available after initial settling period.

North Lakes location, no city commute and free street and onsite parking available.

The Directors will provide you with mentoring to fill any skill gaps you may have and help you move into more senior roles.

SOME OF WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING

· Preparation of BAS and tax returns and financials for small business clients.

· As you gain experience moving on to management accounting and financials for larger groups of clients.

· Assisting clients with their ad hoc bookkeeping and payroll queries.

· Assisting partners with special projects as they arise

· Build rapport with clients, with a clear understanding of client expectations and achieving high levels of client service

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

You have at least 2+ years of experience working in an Australian Accounting Firm or in a bookkeeper or assistant accountant role in commerce and looking for a change to public practice.

Can do attitude: as a small firm everyone rolls up their sleeves and pitches in as needed to get the best result for the client and to make everyone’s life as stress free as possible.

Xero experience preferred.

Be system minded – you’re happy to follow systems and create them to improve operations and client experience.
