The Role

We are seeking a career focused accountant with 2+ years experience in public practice to be considered for the position. We pride ourselves on our supportive team culture, and you will be provided with support both in your career progression and your continued professional development (CA/CPA). We offer extensive training in software packages such as Xero and MYOB, as well as regular tax training with a tax specialist.

The role will be primarily responsible for providing support and assistance in the completion of accounting and taxation compliance work for a broad range of clients, and well as having direct client contact

Your Duties

The main responsibilities and duties of the role are :

Preparation of Financial Statements and Income Taxation Returns for :

Individuals/Sole Traders

Companies

Trusts

Partnerships

SMSFs

Preparation of Business Activity Statement (BAS)

Assistance with preparing taxation and structure advice

Liaising with clients and key stakeholders

Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office

Requirements

It is essential that you have completed a Bachelor of Business/Commerce majoring in Accounting.

Preferably commenced or intending to commence your professional qualification with CA or CPA

As this role will provide client contact, you must display excellent written and verbal communication skills. You will need a high attention to detail, exceptional time management skills and the ability to work as part of a team environment.
