Taipan Trailers is a heavy trailer and tipping equipment manufacturer. We are a family-owned business located in Hillcrest QLD.

We are seeking a 2nd class welder or boiler maker to join our manufacturing team. The work consists of small welding projects/repairs through to manufacturing heavy trailers, tow hitch assemblies & customised fabrication work.

Key duties for this role include:

Mig Welding

Design & fabricate / manufacture.

Understand & complete jobs as per drawings.

Joining metal sections using a various welding techniques.

Cleaning & smoothing welds by filing, chiseling & grinding.

Finishing products by cleaning & preparing for paint.

Attention to producing quality work.

Work to a production schedule.

Be flexible and problem solve.

Be competent with mathematics.

Forklift licence preferred but not essential.

Be able to provide a parts / materials list you require to complete the job.

The successful applicant will:

Work full time hours Monday-Friday with the occasional Saturday when required.

Have good written and verbal communication skills.

Be able to read and interpret design drawings.

Have own reliable transport.
