2nd Class Welder – Structural Steel Workshop

Due to an increase in upcoming works, we are currently seeking an experienced 2nd Class Welder to join our workshop team. This role is essential in helping us maintain workflow and ensuring the workshop continues to run smoothly and efficiently.

We primarily manufacture steel posts and supporting beams for under-house projects, but more recently our scope has expanded to include larger structural steel jobs.

The Role

MIG welding experience

Using grinders to clean and prepare jobs

Forklift operation for moving materials and unloading trucks

Cropping and punching plates

Cutting steel on bandsaws

General workshop duties and cleaning

What We’re Looking For

Proven experience as a 2nd Class Welder

Dependable and eager to learn

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow fabrication drawings

Reliability and commitment to maintaining workshop efficiency

Current driver’s licence and own car

Has basic PPE (welding helmet, long sleeve shirt, pants)

Ability to work well with others

What’s on Offer

Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm

Overtime available if desired

Consistent pipeline of work with variety across standard posts/beams and larger structural steel projects
