The Team:
The Senior Project Officer - Safety & Quality contributes to the successful operations of Statewide Mental Health Services (SMHS) through the provision of high quality, accountable and measurable healthcare, by supporting the clinical areas to operate safe, efficient and effective services in accordance with national standards and SMHS objectives.

The Role:
Working with the Executive Director of Safety and Quality, the Executive Director of Nursing (Director of Services), the Executive Director of Medical Services, Group and Speciality Directors, as a member of one or more project teams, implementing the objectives of various projects, ensuring that Statewide Mental Health Services (SMHS) Safety and Quality objectives and project initiatives are delivered utilising contemporary project management approaches and are aligned with strategic priorities and Agency requirements.
You will need to:
- Contribute to the delivery of Agency strategic priorities and the objectives and outcomes of the SMHS Safety and Quality Unit.
- Utilise project management strategies to contribute to the formulation and delivery of designated projects, including identifying complex and challenging issues, and contributing to the development of solutions to deliver project activities and outcomes.
- Undertake assigned project activities, ensuring they align with Agency policies, procedures, core business functions and relevant legislation, and contribute to the development of operational solutions, guidelines, and recommendations for improved service delivery outcomes.

Details of appointment:
Permanent full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.
*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.
Salary: $107,899 to $122,292 per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
- Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.
Salary Packaging:
You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
