Head Installer / Production Lead (Signage) – Botany, NSW

Platinum Signs is a design-led, solutions-focused production studio working with well-known brands, retailers and institutions across Australia. We design, fabricate, print and install in-house using industry-leading equipment and a hands-on, detail-driven approach. If it doesn’t look exceptional, it doesn’t leave our factory.

About the role
Hands-on leadership across end-to-end signage production and installation. You’ll plan and run installs, complete site checks, operate production equipment, and set the quality bar on every job. You’ll work independently when needed and collaborate with a tight team to deliver fast, accurate outcomes.

What you’ll do

Lead on-site installations (walls, glazing, façades, pylons), including site measures, access planning and SWMS/WHS compliance

Interpret drawings, confirm specs, and problem-solve on site

Operate production equipment and handle finishing: printing, cutting, routing/laser, vinyl application, lamination, assembly

Mentor junior installers/offsiders; coordinate tools, materials and vehicle readiness

Maintain a clean, safe workspace and complete QA sign-offs

Must-haves

3+ years’ industry experience in signage production and on-site installation

Strong vinyl application, lamination and finishing skills

Confident with accurate site measures and independent installs

Fluent English (written and spoken)

Full working rights in Australia; currently residing in Australia

Valid driver’s licence and White Card (Construction Induction)

Nice-to-haves (or willing to upskill)

EWP licence (or obtain within 3 months)

Experience with some of the following:

Wide-format printers (flatbed and roll-to-roll)

Digital cutting tables (e.g. Zünd)

CO₂ and fibre lasers; CNC routers

3D printers

2-Pak spray booth

Laser welder and metal letter-bending for fabricated 3D signage

Basic low-voltage LED wiring/assembly

Forklift licence
