At Mancel College, we see every student for their potential, not their limitations.
As a School Assistant at Mancel College, you won’t just support… you’ll be a key player in sparking a lifelong love of learning. You are the backbone of the classroom.
Relief assisting offers flexibility, variety, and the chance to stay connected to the classroom, all while protecting your time, energy, and personal commitments.
Throughout the day, you’ll work alongside teachers to guide students through a variety of subjects, making each lesson an exciting journey of discovery. Whether it's exploring the wonders of science, the creativity of art, or the beauty of language, your support will help students see beyond facts and figures to understand the world in all its fascinating detail.
Our students are often underestimated by society, but you will know our students and know that they crave better. They are curious, capable, and ready to achieve more than anyone ever imagined, and you will empower them to realise this potential.
So, if you’re looking for a casual position that’s both purposeful and respectful of your life outside the classroom, we’d love to welcome you.
As our School Assistant, you will:
Bring relevant experience, qualifications (Cert III or Cert IV in School Based Education Support or equivalent), Child Safety Checks, and a passion for working with students to make a positive impact in the classroom.
Support teachers in understanding the unique needs of students with Language Disorders and co-occurring difficulties, helping to adapt teaching methods to support their learning journey.
Make a difference by empowering students, advocating for their academic, social, and child safety success, and fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment.
Assist in delivering outstanding educational experiences by creatively supporting lesson plans and activities that cater to each student's unique needs.
Collaborate with teachers to implement programs and strategies that address the diverse educational requirements of our students.
Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, contributing to innovative and adaptive ways of learning that benefit all students.
Be committed to your own professional growth, continuously learning and developing skills to enhance the support you provide in the classroom.
