Position Overview:
We’re looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Team Leader. While qualifications and experience are preferred, they’re not essential—we value the right attitude and a passion for supporting others.. The ideal candidate will be focused, organised, and a great team player, ready to lead and inspire our support workers.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead, mentor and work alongside a team of support workers, ensuring high-quality care and support for our participants.

· Ensure staff are motivated, and adhering to best practices and protocols. Assign tasks and monitor staff performance to ensure the highest standards of care. And refer to HR if required. Develop and oversee personalised care plans for each service user, ensuring they meet the individuals' needs and goals.

· Ensure that the environment is safe, clean, and conducive to the well-being of the service users.

· Handle any incidents or emergencies effectively, ensuring quick and appropriate action is taken.

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on service users' progress, incidents, and any changes in care needs.

· Report any concerns or issues to senior management and contribute to audits or evaluations.

· Build and maintain positive relationships with the families and guardians of service users, providing regular updates and listening to concerns.

· Act as the main point of contact for families and external stakeholders regarding the day centre’s services.

· Organise and lead recreational, educational, and therapeutic activities designed to enhance social interaction, learning, and development for people with disabilities.

· Foster a culture of inclusion, respect, and dignity within the centre.

· Manage the purchasing of materials and supplies needed for activities and day-to-day operations and ensure cost-effective operations without compromising the quality of care.

· Address any conflicts or issues that arise among staff, service users, or families.

· Use strong communication and problem-solving skills to resolve challenges quickly and diplomatically.

· Promote positive relationships and a supportive atmosphere within the centre.

· Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed to protect staff and service users.

· Conduct risk assessments and implement safety protocols.

· Oversee medication administration, if applicable, ensuring accurate record-keeping and safe practices.

Qualifications:

· Relevant qualifications in disability support or a related field.

· Strong organisational and time-management skills.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

· Administer medications certificate ( can be obtained )

· First Aid and CPR certificate

· WWVP check

· Police check
