About the role

SouthCut Plant and Civil is seeking a skilled Machine Operator to join our dynamic team in Lang Lang, Victoria. As a Machine Operator, you will play a vital role in the smooth execution of our construction projects, operating a range of heavy machinery with precision and care.

What you'll be doing

Safely operate various heavy machinery, such as excavators and Posi tracks to complete a wide range of construction tasks

Perform pre-operational checks and routine maintenance on assigned equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety

Work closely with the construction crew to coordinate the efficient movement and placement of materials and equipment

Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe work environment

Collaborate with the site supervisor to troubleshoot any operational issues and implement effective solutions

Contribute to the overall success of the construction project by delivering high-quality work within established timelines

What we're looking for

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Machine Operator in the construction industry

Proficiency in operating a variety of heavy machinery, such as excavators, Posi Tracks and bulldozers

Strong understanding of construction techniques, safety protocols, and environmental regulations

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to handle unexpected challenges on the job

Reliable, team-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality work

Valid driver's licence and construction equipment operator's certificate

HR License (Non-Synchro) HC is desirable.
