About the Role We are seeking a Buildings Asset Planner to work within the Asset Planning team to provide best practice asset management services planning for the City’s buildings portfolio.
You will need to have experience in managing building asset portfolios, including the provision of expert building management advice, undertaking asset condition assessments, managing asset data and developing short- and long-term renewal programs and strategies.
This position offers an opportunity to a person who is seeking a role that is focused on strategic infrastructure planning and scope definition associated with the development of building assets renewal capital works programs.
About you
The successful candidate must be highly organised with the ability to work unsupervised. Strong analytical skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects will be required. Knowledge of building management and asset management principles with practical experience in managing public infrastructure is essential. You must be adaptable and ready to take on a challenge. The role would be perfectly suited to someone with the following skills and experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as Civil Engineering, Architecture or Asset Management is required.
  • Relevant experience in a similar role is desirable.
  • Intermediate experience in the efficient utilisation of information systems and technology.
  • Knowledge of Civil Engineering design and construction practices and methodology.
  • Knowledge of Asset Management practices for determining lifecycle of infrastructure and renewal intervention timeframes.
  • Intermediate organisational skills with the ability to prioritise competing tasks.
  • Advanced communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate negotiation and influencing skills.
