About the Position:

As a Front Office Receptionist, you will be the friendly face of our holiday park, responsible for providing outstanding customer service and ensuring the seamless operation of our front desk. Your warm demeanour, strong communication skills, and organisational talents will play a pivotal role in ensuring our guests enjoy an unforgettable experience.

Responsibilities:

Guest Welcome & Service: Warmly greet every guest and create a friendly first impression. Treat guests with a genuine, helpful manner and a can-do attitude.

Reservations & Sales: Manage reservations for cabins, sites and amenities in the property management system (PMS). Process basic transactions and restock small retail items.

Check-in / Check-out & Payments: Complete arrivals and departures efficiently, issue keys/access codes, and explain park policies. Take deposits, process EFTPOS/online payments and refunds in line with procedures.

Phones, Email & Online Enquiries: Respond promptly to calls, emails and web enquiries. Provide clear, accurate information about availability, pricing, policies and facilities.

Administration & Records: Maintain accurate guest profiles, notes and documents in the PMS. Protect guest privacy and handle data in line with company policies

Cash Handling & Reconciliation: Handle cash and float securely; balance tills and complete end-of-day reconciliations accurately.

Teamwork & Handover: Liaise closely with housekeeping and grounds staff for room/site status and condition. Write clear shift handover notes so the next team member is set up for success.

Safety, Security & Compliance: Follow emergency and incident procedures; report hazards, near-misses and injuries promptly. Monitor access control (keys, codes) and keep reception secure. Understand and communicate key guest rules (e.g. pool/spa, pets, noise, vehicles).

Issue Resolution & Service Recovery: Own guest problems end-to-end: listen, solve, and follow through. Record issues in the guest log; escalate sensitively when needed. Encourage happy guests to leave reviews; capture feedback for improvement.

Presentation & Facilities Care: Keep reception, recreation room and gym tidy, stocked and inviting at all times.

Local Knowledge & Recommendations: Stay up-to-date on park facilities, events and local attractions to offer relevant suggestions. Provide practical directions, transport tips and dining/activity recommendations.

About You:

Available to full time, every second weekend. Available some public holidays.

Organisation: Strong organisational abilities and an unwavering attention to detail.

Communication: Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.

Problem-Solving: Ability to handle challenges and resolve issues effectively.

Flexibility: Willingness to work weekends and public holidays as required.

Experience: No previous experience required; we welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
