Pathways Residences is a luxury residential aged-care provider operating across Sydney. We're seeking a creative and skilled Pastry Chef to join our team! If you have a passion for crafting delicious and visually stunning baked goods, innovating with desserts, we want to hear from you!

The role is permanent part time, located at our luxury home in Killara NSW 2071.

Shift days available are:

Monday

Tuesday

Friday

Sat/Sun (weekend loading applies)

The role:

Prepare a wide range of baked goods including pastries, petit fours, cakes, cookies, pies, and bread using both traditional and modern recipes.

Develop innovative and exciting desserts to refresh our menu and captivate residents.

Decorate pastries with expert techniques to ensure beautiful and enticing presentations.

Monitor inventory levels for baking ingredients, manage supplies, and place orders within budget.

Ensure the quality of ingredients and maintain equipment in excellent condition.

Lead, guide, and inspire your Chef colleagues to maximize efficiency and creativity.

Provide restaurant quality dining experiences to our residents.

Assist with recruiting, training, and mentoring new team members.

About you:

Proven experience as a Pastry Chef or in a similar role.

Minimum 2 years of experience as a Pastry Chef is required.

Expertise in baking techniques and a creative flair for dessert innovation.

Knowledge of food safety practices and equipment maintenance.

A passion for high-quality ingredients and attention to detail in presentation.

Australian work rights are required for this position.

Certificate III in Patisserie qualification is required.
