The Role

We are seeking a Kitchen Manager to lead culinary operations across both services. This role starts with oversight of our Aged Care Home kitchen and will expand to establish and lead the ELC kitchen team as the centre opens.

You will

· Oversee all aspects of aged care kitchen operations from day one.

· Play a key role in setting up the ELC kitchen, including recruiting and training the team.

· Ensure menus meet the diverse needs of aged care residents and young children, balancing nutrition, dietary requirements, and cultural preferences.

· Lead a small team, ensuring exceptional food safety, hygiene and compliance.

· Manage budgets, ordering, and rosters while fostering a supportive and collaborative team culture.

Skills and Experience

We'd love to hear from you if you have:

· Proven experience in aged care and/or childcare kitchen operations.

· A strong grasp of Aged Care Quality Standards and ELC nutrition guidelines.

· Knowledge of Food Safety Plans, HACCP, Council Regulations & OH&S

· Leadership or supervisory experience, ideally including team setup or recruitment.

· Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher

· Food Safety Supervisor Certificate

· Ability to plan, cost, and deliver menus for diverse dietary needs.

· A passion for food as a way of caring, connecting, and enriching lives.

· Australian citizenship or permanent residency is required for this position.
