About the role
As the Family Support Coordinator, you will:
- Provide professional leadership, guidance and supervision to a team of Family Support Practitioners
- Oversee casework and ensure best practice principles are applied to support vulnerable families
- Support practitioners to build strong relationships with families and external stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with legislative, licensing and organisational requirements
- Assist with financial and administrative oversight of the program
- Promote continuous improvement and contribute to strategic service development
This role plays a critical part in ensuring children can remain safely within their family homes through collaborative, culturally sensitive and strengths-based interventions.
This is a Permanent Full-Time position working across the Maryborough ang Gympie region.
Qualifications, Credentials and Other Requirements
- Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, Social or Behavioural Sciences or similar
- Current National Police Check
- Current Blue Card
- Current Queensland Driver Licence
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (desirable)
About You:
- Demonstrated experience in team supervision, case management, and child protection
- Knowledge of the Child Protection Act 1999 and family intervention frameworks
- Strong interpersonal, decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Cultural awareness and experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families
- Competence in using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
