Our client is a K-12 independent college experiencing increased enrolments. As such they seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to join the team.

In this role, you will be playing a critical leadership role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial services that support the strategic and operational goals of the College. As a senior member of the Finance Team, you will work closely with the Business Director to drive financial performance, strengthen internal controls, and ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

Leading the successful implementation, integration, and optimisation of the College’s finance system (TASS), with oversight of all key modules:

Overseeing the preparation and delivery of timely, accurate, and insightful monthly financial reports, including balance sheet, internal management reports, and cashflow statements, with a focus on enhanced dashboard reporting for executive and board use.

Managing the integrity of the general ledger and overseeing all banking, reconciliation, and month-end processes, including accruals, journals, and depreciation schedules.

Providing high-level oversight of tax and compliance obligations, including supervision of GST and FBT reporting and coordination of year-end statutory accounts.

Championing strong financial governance by ensuring adherence to financial controls and accounting standards, and proactively identifying areas for improvement in financial processes and systems.

You will ideally be CA/CPA qualified, ideally within an education sector.
