About the role

Permanent part time opportunity to contribute to patient care within STARS by providing advanced clinical support tasks delegated under the direct or indirect supervision of a pharmacist. Undertake a range of activities to assist in the provision of an efficient and effective pharmacy service.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

• Provide education to patients on the use of a defined range of medications, medication aids and devices under the guidance of a pharmacist.
• Refer to and liaise with health care providers within the immediate team as well as community health providers such as community pharmacists, residential care facility staff and general practitioners, under the delegation of a pharmacist.
• Assist pharmacists in preparing and recording Controlled Drugs orders and undertaking audits of reports and records.
• Commit to ongoing training and development activities and participate in departmental training and education activities.
