About the role

Pickney ELC is seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team in Beaumaris, Victoria. This is a part-time role, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young children. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and stimulating environment that fosters the development and well-being of our students.

What you'll be doing

Plan and implement developmentally appropriate educational activities and programs for children aged 0-5 years

Provide exceptional care and support to children, ensuring their safety, health, and emotional needs are met

Observe and document children's progress, identifying any developmental needs or concerns

Collaborate with parents and caregivers to ensure a cohesive approach to each child's learning and development

Maintain accurate records and comply with all relevant regulatory and legislative requirements

Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities to continuously improve your skills

What we're looking for

Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (Cert III acceptable but must be working towards Diploma)

Minimum 2 years of experience working as an Early Childhood Educator in a similar setting

Strong understanding of child development, pedagogy, and the implementation of play-based learning

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues

Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality, inclusive, and nurturing care

Current First Aid, CPR, and Working with Children Check
