In this role, you will:

· Research, evaluate, and optimise network infrastructure to support procurement, lifecycle refresh initiatives, and cloud adoption strategies.

· Design and document detailed network topologies, IP addressing schemes, and LAN configurations across multi-vendor environments (Cisco, Ubiquiti, etc.).

· Install, configure, and migrate Layer 3 switches, VPN concentrators, wireless controllers, and F5 load balancers.

· Configure and optimise routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), QoS policies, and firewall rule sets on Cisco and Check Point platforms.

· Deploy and integrate Windows Server 2022, VMware ESXi, and Hyper-V environments, leveraging Ansible for automation and scalability.

· Develop automation scripts using Python and PowerShell to streamline deployments and reduce errors.

· Implement proactive monitoring and predictive scaling with tools such as PRTG, and Nagios.

· Manage change control processes through ServiceNow, ensuring compliance, risk management, and rollback readiness.

· Create and maintain SOPs, asset inventories, and disaster recovery documentation using Confluence and SharePoint.

· Diagnose and resolve complex performance issues using NetFlow, Splunk, and Wireshark.

· Enhance security posture by implementing IDS/IPS, WAF policies, and SIEM integrations to protect against DDoS, malware, and intrusion attempts.
