The Role

We are looking for kind, caring and experienced Allied Health Clinical Lead to join our team located in the Hunter, Newcastle and Surrounding areas.
We are looking for a registered psychologist, speech therapist, social worker or occupational therapist to lead our team of multidisciplinary allied health specialists providing care across the allied health and NDIS programs.
You will lead our multidisciplinary team of social workers, speech therapists, psychologists, behaviour support practitioners and support workers who provide support to children, young people or people with a disability to help them to achieve their goals and build their independence into the future. You will have strong peer support from the general manager and director. You will sit as part of the executive leadership team.
You will have an established understanding of the NDIA quality and safeguarding commission, as well as the role of clinical MDST services in private practice and the NDIS. You will have experience managing case allocations, clinical treatment plans, and budgets across teams.

In this role you will be working directly with young people living with complex trauma and psycho-social challenges, as well as people living with disability.

Within this role, you will lead a collaborative, fun and creative team in reducing the barriers to people accessing appropriate supports for their needs and setting people up for success into the future. You will lead service delivery across our allied health and clinical NDIS programs. You will be a key member in driving policy, procedure, clinical supervision and implementation of individual treatment plans.
You will have access to weekly supervision, as well as significant peer-based support in an organisation that is based in providing a structure where all are equal, and the people we support's needs are the focus.

Skills and experience
Qualifications - Minimum Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Speech Therapy or Psychology
Accreditation with AHPRA, AASW or SPA
Minimum 5 years experience within the NDIS and Allied Health space
Knowledge of and experience in implementing the NDIA quality and safeguarding commission, and NDIS legislation and best practice
Minimum 2 years experience managing allied health teams across private practice or the NDIS
Experiencing providing clinical supervision to a multidisciplinary team
