Join the City of Armadale as a Resident Liaison Officer and be the friendly face and voice that supports residents in creating a cleaner, greener environment.
What the Role Looks Like
• Engage with residents to promote waste reduction, recycling, and compliance with waste collection services.
• Investigate illegal dumping and littering, gather evidence, and support enforcement actions.
• Conduct bin audits, identify non-compliance, and help educate the community on proper waste management.
• Work closely with Waste Collection teams, City Rangers, and contractors to coordinate services and resolve issues.
• Support community events and educational programs to raise awareness about sustainability.
• Handle customer queries professionally, providing timely and respectful service.
• Assist with data collection, reporting, and administrative tasks related to waste services.
You’re Someone Who...
• Has excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Is confident in dealing with the public, handling sensitive issues with tact and respect.
• Understands or is willing to learn about waste services, environmental regulations, and compliance.
• Is organised, self-motivated, and can work independently or as part of a team.
• Holds a current C Class Driver’s Licence and First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain).
• Has basic computer skills and is comfortable using technology for data and reporting.
• Values community wellbeing and sustainability.
• Has experience or interest in local government, compliance, or community engagement (desirable).
