Your new role
As an APS6 Accounting and Finance Professional, you will contribute to financial reporting, budgeting, and strategic financial advice across multiple sections. These roles are available in Canberra offering a unique opportunity to support national security and law enforcement operations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing timely financial reports with value-added analysis
  
• Meeting with stakeholders to provide strategic financial advice
  
• Developing and coordinating budgets and forecasts
  
• Assisting with monthly and annual financial statements
  
• Supporting reconciliations, journal entries, and asset management
  
• Contributing to statutory tax functions and compliance
  
• Applying sound financial judgement and analytical skills
  
• Leading small teams and fostering collaborative relationships
  

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in these roles, you will demonstrate:

• Strong leadership and organisational skills
  
• Experience with financial systems, spreadsheets, and reporting tools
  
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
  
• Sound understanding of government financial frameworks and processes
  
• Australian citizenship (mandatory)
  
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) security clearance
