Are you passionate about supporting people to live independently and stay connected to their community? We're looking for a compassionate Community Aged Services Support Officer to join our team on a casual basis to cover staff leave.
About the Role
As a Community Aged Services Support Officer, you will provide person-centred support that may be provided in the home, within our Social Support Group Program, or while a person is accessing other community services.
You'll support older adults to maintain living independently in their homes for as long as possible by providing quality client care and engagement and assistance with daily living activities. You'll also support older adults to socially connect with others in the community.

Key Responsibilities
As a Community Support Officer, you will accompany clients to appointments, shopping trips, and social activities, supporting their engagement and participation in the community. In addition, you will provide personal care such as showering and toileting, assist with domestic tasks, and offer respite care as needed. Under the guidance of the Program Leader you'll help facilitate group activities, and on a relief basis, deliver meals while providing friendly social interaction during deliveries. You'll also participate in ongoing training, attend team meetings and case consultations, and are expected to monitor and report any changes in consumer health or safety concerns.
What We're Looking For
- Certificate III Individual Support (formerly known as Cert III HACC) or equivalent.
- A genuine interest in supporting older people and people with disabilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work across various service areas and locations.
Pre-employment requirements
- Driver's Licence (comfortable with driving a 10-seater minibus on occasion if required)
- Level 2 First Aid (Apply First Aid).
- Functional Capacity Assessment.
- Working with Children's check.
- Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC).
