Are you the organisational powerhouse your clients can’t stop talking about? We’re looking for an Account Manager and Producer who knows how to work with clients and turn ideas into scroll-stopping videos and podcasts, and lead the process from concept to delivery.

Overview

We’re looking for an Account Manager (Video and Podcast) to manage the creation of high-quality, social-first content and podcasts that grow our clients’ audiences. This person will work with our clients to lead the creation, production, and publishing of high-quality content across platforms, with a strong focus on video and podcasts. You will work directly with clients to create social-first content that amplifies their brand.

If you live and breathe content and storytelling for digital platforms, we’d love to hear from you. Over time, you’ll have the opportunity to take on larger client accounts and help refine how we deliver content for them.

About us

Wavelength is Australia’s leading content and podcast agency. We work with service-based businesses to produce, launch and grow their profile online. We've worked with leading brands including Microsoft, Uber, Swinburne University and State Library Victoria, as well as a range of other great organisations. We've launched multiple #1 charting podcasts and have won various awards for our work. We’re a collaborative team, and right now we’re looking for one more to join our crew! Could that someone be you?

About the role

Wavelength is on the hunt for an Account Manager (Video and Podcast) with a strong focus on social media, video, and podcasting.

We’re looking for an organised and client-focused Account Manager who thrives on managing relationships, keeping projects on track, briefing editors, and ensuring final outputs meet deadlines and quality standards. This is a client-facing role where you’ll work directly with clients and also collaborate with our internal production team to deliver compelling, scroll-stopping content for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, and various podcast platforms.

The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of how content performs across different platforms and be confident overseeing both long-form and short-form production workflows. Experience working directly with clients and managing end-to-end production is essential.

To be clear, this is not an editing role. We’re looking for someone to manage the client relationship and production process end-to-end, ensuring smooth delivery and high-quality results. You’ll be managing content production workflows, working directly with clients, and providing creative direction, rather than cutting video or audio yourself.

This role reports to the Head of Production.

The specifics

Here’s what this role involves:

Client management

Lead client conversations around content development, ensuring deliverables align with objectives.

Provide input on content formats and campaign ideas to help clients achieve their growth goals.

Manage content calendars and delivery schedules with clients, ensuring expectations and timelines are clear.

Oversee production planning and client communication, ensuring content is delivered on time and at the highest quality.

Develop and present clients with reports that analyse performance to inform future content decisions.

Production oversight

Own the planning, briefing, and delivery of high-quality content (videos and podcasts), ensuring editors and designers have clear direction and deadlines.

Brief and provide direction to editors on repurposing long-form podcast episodes into engaging short-form content for social media.

Review and provide feedback on video and podcast content (short-form and long-form) before release.

Collaborate with producers and editors to provide feedback on work-in-progress edits to improve them before relase.

Review all content for quality assurance before each post is published.

Ensure all content meets the highest creative and technical standards.

Content development

Develop social-first creative concepts to amplify our clients’ brands.

Write sharp, engaging copy for captions, titles, and hooks.

Stay across platform trends and recommend new creative approaches.

Any other relevant tasks, as required.

About you

Here’s what we’re looking for in the right candidate:

You have at least 3 years’ experience in account management or client management, ideally within content, media, or creative production.

You thrive when managing clients through the production process. They trust your judgement and you’re confident in keeping projects on track.

You're more than a coordinator … you’re a trusted partner who makes sure content is delivered smoothly and effectively.

You’re confident in managing projects end-to-end, from client conversations and scheduling to briefing, QA, and delivery (not hands-on editing).

You have a keen eye for trends and understand how to tailor content for each platform.

You have extensive project management experience running creative campaigns.

You have a passion for working directly with clients on projects.

You understand what makes content engaging and can spot quickly if it will grab attention.

You have the ability to write sharp, engaging copy for social media.

You are fluent in online collaboration tools such as Google Drive and Slack.

Bonus points

While not mandatory, you’ll also get some bonus points for the following:

Video editing skillls for short-form content (Descript, Premiere Pro, CapCut, or similar).

Design skills for thumbnails and static graphics (Canva, Photoshop, etc.)

Audio editing skills for podcast content (Adobe Audition, Pro Tools, Descript, or similar).

Motion design or animation skills (After Effects, etc.).

Experience in podcasting or audio-first content.

Experience growing your own social media channels (Note: DO NOT apply if you ONLY have this experience. You must have extensive experience working with a variety of clients in an account management type role. Experience with your own content is a bonus, but will not be sufficient on its own.)

Relevant tertiary qualifications (communications, media, or design preferred).

Training and career development

If you're successful with your application, we'll provide you with on-the-job training in the Wavelength way of doing things.

We’re also committed to providing career progression opportunities for our team and provide performance and pay reviews annually.

Remote work

This role is a 100% work-from-home position. At Wavelength, we collaborate completely remotely. Our headquarters are in Melbourne, and we work regular business hours on Australian Eastern Standard Time.

Hours

This position is a full-time role.

Remuneration and benefits

The salary range for this role is $80,000–$110,000, based on your experience and capability. We have other great staff benefits, too, such as flexible work arrangements, ongoing training, career advancement opportunities, and unlimited mental health days (yep, seriously!).
