Hairdresser Required

One full time Hairdresser is required at Moe & Co. Majura Pty Ltd at Canberra ACT.

Key Responsibilities:

· Using various scissors carefully and to maintain their cutting performance by regularly sharpening

· Using hair cutting techniques in the format of Solid form, graduated form, scissor over comb, combination cuts, layering techniques on both men and women of all ages

· Perming long, medium and short hair, using either acid or alkaline solutions for both traditional winding and spiral perm winding using brands such as L’Oreal and Delorenzo perming solutions on both male and female clients.

· Performing beard trims and neckline shaves on males of all age groups using electrical equipment

· Performing chemical hair straightening techniques using products such as Thermal Japanese straightening system and the Lakme straightening system on both males and females.

· Performing full color applications for both temporary and permanent colors

· Performing full bleaching services including scalp applications using bleach, foils, streaks and splices.

· Providing multiple color applications at basic and advanced levels with full lift and half lift color applications

· Making recommendations to clients with fully related instructions on use of home care products

· Ensuring that the work is carried out hygienically and methodically

· Communicating effectively and supporting other members of the salon, team, and staff

· Wearing neat and clean uniform and be equipped with the required equipment

· Maintaining personal hygiene and salon hygiene

· Completing and filling client history cards, using the cash register and EFTPOS terminal and answering phone calls when required

· Cleaning and maintaining the salon at professional standards

· Someone who understands different face shapes and hair types to create looks.

Experience Required: At least one year experience in a similar field.
