Respiratory Care WA (formerly Asthma WA) helps bridge the gap between hospital and community care with lung function testing, education and support for the many Western Australians living with asthma, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) and other chronic respiratory conditions.
We’re all about helping people with respiratory conditions live a better life. Our three-year strategy is focused on continuing to deliver services and programs that meet unmet needs in the community.
Our Respiratory Scientists, provide lung function testing for consumers in our clinics across Perth, and also support our community outreach programs.
About the role
This exciting opportunity will have you working side by side with some incredible Respiratory Specialists and Registered Nurses in both the Children's and Adult Respiratory Hubs.
This is a stimulating role for someone who likes to get involved at all levels and contribute to providing quality clinical services. You will be encouraged to grow, develop, and feel empowered within your role to make a difference in the lives of our consumers.
This role also provides for dedicated time for preparing of lung function testing reports and encourages team members to WFH on administration days. Why come into an office to complete work that could be done from the comforts of home.
Key accountabilities
Delivery of a comprehensive LFT across clinics (including Spirometry, FeNO, FOT and DLCO)
Provide input into the implementation and evaluation of Respiratory Care WA’s lung function testing services
Essential Criteria
Qualifications in health science
Experience providing spirometry and other lung function tests
Demonstrated clinical expertise and knowledge of respiratory conditions, especially asthma and COPD
Work well independently and as part of a multidisciplinary care team
Knowledge of, or experience in the NFP sector and/or health service delivery
Ability to make and maintain stakeholder relationships, both internally and externally
Current C Class driver's license and access to a reliable motor vehicle
