SMT Operator and Electronics Assembler

About the Position

We currently have a position open for a person to join our manufacturing team. The role requires someone with experience in electronics manufacturing. Previous experience in a SMT environment is ideal. Training will be provided to the successful candidate to operate our machines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include the following: Other duties may be assigned.

Operating the SMT line

· Setting up and running the SMT Line

· Preparing parts for SMT assembly

· Inspecting the first board according to the drawing specifications and component layout diagrams

· Checking the placement and soldering quality according to IPC standards

· Information recording and data entry

Assembly

· Hand soldering TH components

· Testing assemblies and assembly into enclosures.

· Maintaining inventory database

Quality

· Following work instructions and SOP

· Contributing to system and process improvements

This role requires someone with:

· An interest in technology/electronics.

· A strong eye for detail.

· The ability to learn and understand complex systems and ideas.

· The ability to work to controlled procedures and guidelines but who can come up with innovative solutions to problems.

· A high level of initiative, strong self-motivation and an ability to work autonomously.

· An interest in not just how to operate a machine but how it works as well.

· Sound computer skills
