CDC is on the hunt for enthusiastic locals who are keen to earn a solid income, 20 hours a week, Monday to Friday, during school term. Plus we offer flexible ad-hoc hours for those interested in casual charter driving including weekends and afterhours options.

Whether you’re a small business owner, part-time dog groomer or simply looking for extra income for a few hours here and there as you approach retirement, you’ll join a family of drivers of all ages and stages who love what they do. All you need are great customer service skills and a good driving record, and we’ll help you with the rest.

School Bus Driver

This position is responsible for safely transporting primary and secondary school students to and from school, Monday to Friday school days only along pre-determined designated routes of travel. We offer casual split shifts - 2 hrs AM and 2 hrs PM school days (average 20 hours per week).

Qualifications:

Current Queensland Medium Rigid Driver's Licence or higher (desirable)

Current Driver Authority (General) from Queensland Transport (or ability to obtain one)

We also assist you through the process to apply for your Driver Authority (DA)

Experience:

Heavy vehicle experience

Bus driving experience including transporting school students (desirable)

Bus driving experience, minimum 57 seat bus - minimum 12 months (desirable)

Skills:

Verbal and written communication skills

Ability to learn new skills, apply training and follow direction

The ability to think clearly in a crisis and to keep calm

For successful applicants we are offering the following:

Casual split shifts - 2 hours AM and 2 hours PM school days Mon – Fri (average 20 hours per week) Or, we may be able to offer less shifts for suitable applicants keen to join our team.
