The Role

You’ll work closely with the Construction Manager and Project Managers, gaining exposure to early-stage client engagement and playing a key role in the day-to-day coordination of active sites. The projects include a mix of new builds, refurbishments, and complex fit-outs, typically across the health, education, hospitality, and institutional sectors.

As a Junior PM, your responsibilities will evolve with you, but may include:

• Assisting with planning, program tracking, and site coordination
• Reviewing scopes, tender returns, and drafting contract documentation
• Monitoring budgets and financial reporting with the PM
• Attending consultant meetings and helping resolve design issues
• Supporting early bid and tender processes
• Contributing to project documentation, HSEQ tracking, and reporting

This is a great stepping stone for an experienced CA or Junior PM looking to broaden their scope, take on more responsibility, and grow into a fully-fledged PM role under the guidance of supportive, experienced leaders.

The Builder

One of the most respected commercial builders in Queensland and New South Wales, privately owned, with a strong focus on quality delivery, client partnerships, and long-term staff retention. Known for fostering a collaborative culture and investing in the growth of its people, this builder now seeks a Junior Project Manager to join their growing Queensland team. Typically, they deliver the following types of projects:

• Education (schools, training facilities, universities)
• Health and aged care
• Hospitality and food service
• Retail and commercial fit-outs
• Government and institutional refurbishments
• Complex live-site upgrades and redevelopments

Are you suitable?

This opportunity is ideal for someone with a background in commercial construction looking to grow their career in project delivery. You might be a Contract Administrator or Junior PM ready to step up and take on more project control.

You’re likely to tick the following boxes:

• 5+ years’ experience in commercial construction, ideally in a CA or Project Coordinator role - ready to step up
• Exposure to education, health, hospitality, or institutional builds
• Understanding of project financials, contract admin, and site coordination
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A growth mindset and desire to build a long-term career in project delivery
